During a special meeting Monday evening, Belpre City Council unanimously approved the second reading of a resolution authorizing the mayor to execute a purchase agreement with Badger Lumber Co. Inc. of Parkersburg for its Belpre location on Washington Boulevard. A third reading must be approved at another council meeting before the action becomes final. Mayor Susan Abdella said the price for the property as listed in the resolution is $925,000. The city will be relocating some of its services to the site, she said.
