Contractors to begin sewer infrastructure work Monday

Contractors hired by the City of Marietta will begin work Monday on sanitary sewer infrastructure as part of the Colegate Inflow and Infiltration project, according to the city’s Public Utilities Department.

The work will involve maintenance, repair and replacement of sanitary sewer main lines and manholes in several neighborhoods. Contractors will place door hangers on homes in areas where work will occur to provide additional details.

Work is scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Areas where work is scheduled include Janet Drive, Meadow Lane and Wildwood Drive, according to the notice.

The project will include several types of sewer system improvements, including: sanitary sewer main line cured-in-place lining; manhole repairs and replacements; sanitary sewer main line spot repairs.
