Monday morning was greeted with a mix of winter weather conditions after a sunny and warm weekend.
A supervisor with the Wood County 911 Center said from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday they had 13 accidents with two people transported from different accidents.
The accidents involved cars slipping off the roadways and/or sliding into other vehicles.
“Most of them were single vehicle accidents,” the supervisor said. “We had three multi-vehicle accidents.”
A number of the accidents took place along I-77 and U.S. Route 50. There was one reported along W.Va. 68 and one inside Mountwood Park.

ODOT Public Information Officer Ashley Rittenhouse said in Washington County it was reported they didn’t have to call cruisers into work earlier than their regular shifts at 7 a.m.
“They’ve been out all morning patrolling and treating the roads as needed,” said Rittenhouse. “Fortunately the temperatures are going to keep going up and taper off so we don’t anticipate the patrol working over their normal shifts.”
She said there haven’t been any major reports from Washington County and it’s been pretty standard.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office didn’t call in any snow emergencies Monday.
