Brown, Vance call for East Palestine disease registry

EAST PALESTINE — In another bipartisan gesture toward East Palestine, U.S. Senators Sherrod Brown and J.D. Vance said “voluntary public health surveillance activities are critical to understand the scope of potential health consequences” caused by last year’s Norfolk Southern train derailment. Relay for Life meeting

Relay for Life of Washington County will have a Relay Rally meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at Marietta Memorial Hospital’s Strecker Cancer Center. Attendees are asked to enter on Fourth Street under the canopy. Relay Rallies are held the third Monday of each month and provide opportunities for event updates, supply pickup and sharing information about fundraising. The 2024 Relay for Life of Washington County is planned for 3-9:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Belpre Civitan Park. The theme is Happy 30th Birthday Washington County Relay.
