Walker, 19, 270 Wingrove Dr., Little Hocking, driving a 2012 Nissan Xterra owned by Ira Walker, was traveling northbound on Ohio 339 in Belpre Nov. 28 preparing to turn left when Joshua W. Welch, 21, 894 Fisher Ridge Rd., Fleming, driving a 1994 Ford Ranger, was traveling northbound and failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and struck Walker in the rear, both vehicles then pulled off to a safe location. Marietta Police

Dec. 9: Police were dispatched to a residence on Glendale Road Extension to assist the emergency squad with a 22-year-old male who had collapsed. The subject subsequently died at the hospital. An autopsy was done and foul play is not suspected, but the investigation is ongoing. Dec. 10: ≤ Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Greene Street about Hillire Dalton causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, units made contact with Dalton and it was learned he had made threats of harm to the victim at the residence. Dalton, 52, was arrested and taken to jail, where he was incarcerated ...
