Ohio State Highway Patrol • A 16-year-old, driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, was traveling northbound on Plum Run Road in Watertown Township Dec. 8 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment before overturning. The driver had suspected minor injuries and was taken by Watertown EMS to Marietta Memorial Hospital, while his passenger had possible injuries and was not taken by Watertown EMS but was examined. Welch, 21, 894 Fisher Ridge Rd., Fleming, driving a 1994 Ford Ranger, was traveling northbound and failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and struck Walker in the rear, both vehicles then pulled off to a safe location.
