Reports/Washington County ¯ Deputies responded Monday to Forshey Road, Marietta Township, to a report of a disturbance involving a firearm. Deputies were advised that as witnesses were on their porch, Jeffrey McAtee was driving westbound on Forshey Road approaching the residence. McAtee arrived at the residence and exited his vehicle approaching the porch. It was reported that McAtee was yelling about an ongoing disagreement between the parties. CDC recommends masks in Washington, Morgan, Noble counties

With the CDC’s local COVID-19 community level designated as “high,” the Washington County Health Department is requiring masks to be worn at its facility. The agency is letting folks know that CDC guidance recommends doing so in any indoor public setting in a county designated as high, but it cannot require the practice outside its own walls. Three local men were indicted by the Washington County Grand Jury this week after being arrested for a string of burglaries and breaking and enterings in May and June. Roane man pleads guilty after pipe bomb found

CHARLESTON – A Roane County man pleaded guilty Wednesday to possessing an unregistered destructive device after law enforcement officers found a pipe bomb at his residence. According to court documents and statements made in court, on Dec. 24, 2020, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at the Spencer residence of Joseph David Bailey, 51.
