Traffic drives past the destroyed Belpre welcome sign along Washington Boulevard Monday. The sign, made from an old grindstone and placed by the Belpre Lions Club, laid in pieces nearby. Mayor Susan Abdella said a car struck the sign more than a week ago.

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Department of Development announced on Tuesday the release of nearly $3.4 million through three state-funded programs that will enhance communities and support business expansion including a local business in Washington County.
