Annual Beverly/Waterford Homecoming The Annual Beverly/Waterford Homecoming presented by Russell Chadwick American Legion Post 389 will be today and Saturday, at Dodge Park. ‘1776’ performance to change locations

The performance of "1776" presented by the Actors Guild of Parkersburg in partnership with Downtown PKB and America 250 will be changing locations today from Bicentennial Park to the Center on Market/Wood County Resiliency Center, 328 2nd St., Parkersburg. The change is due to expected high temperatures and extreme heat warnings by the National Weather Service. The performance is free to the public and no tickets are required to attend.

New program from Highmark will bring nutrition care to the state

PARKERSBURG — Highmark Health Options West Virginia (HHOWV) and Foodsmart announced a new program to bring personalized nutrition care and food support to members across the state. The venture will initially focus on those with chronic conditions including, but not exclusive to, sickle cell anemia, hypertension, diabetes, kidney disease, pre-diabetes and obesity, as well as maternal health populations.
