Coplin celebration to mark new Parkersburg Mobile Health Unit stop

PARKERSBURG — Coplin Health Systems is expanding its Mobile Health Unit program with a new ongoing community stop at Parkersburg Fire Station No. 2. The stop will begin with a community celebration from 1 to 4 p.m. July 8. The event will give residents a chance to tour the Mobile Health Unit, meet Coplin care providers, take part in family-friendly activities and learn more about services offered through the program. Sewer Work on Franklin Street The Water Reclamation Department will be performing work on the 400 block of Franklin Street to maintain, repair or replace the sanitary sewer. Franklin Street will be closed to traffic between Putnam and Lancaster Streets. There will be no parking on either side of the street from 413 Franklin St. to Lancaster Street. Spirit of Giving grant application window open for local nonprofits

PARKERSBURG – Area non-profits will be able to apply for the PM Company’s 2026 Spirit of Giving grants starting today. The application period will be open July 1 through Aug. 30 for organizations serving vulnerable and underserved populations in Wood County and Washington County, according to a press release from the PM Company. In 2025, Spirit of Giving awarded $81,000 to 13 local nonprofit organizations, helping advance missions that provide vital services, education, and outreach.
