Camilla B. Heiss
Camilla B. Heiss, 89, of Beverly, Ohio, died on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Appletree Assisted Living in Beverly. She was born on February 3, 1935 in Waterford, Ohio, daughter of Francis and Louise Huck Offenberger. Camilla graduated from Waterford high School and was a wonderful homemaker for her family for many years all while assisting her husband George in the Heiss Plumbing & Electric Business in Lowell. She was a member of St. Bernard Church and the Catholic Women’s Club in Beverly. She loved traveling, especially bus trips and enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and all their activities. On May 22, 1954 she was married to George R. Heiss who died on September 15, 2012. She is survived by two daughters, Charlene “Sis” Hall of Beverly and Chris Schweikert (Doug) of Waterford; four sons, Rod Heiss (Candy) of Lowell, Rick Heiss (Teresa) of Marietta, Steve Heiss of Waterford and Andy Heiss (Sherry) of Beverly; eighteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren and one on the way. A brother, Leonard Heiss (Sharon) of Casper Wyoming; two sisters, Harriet Henrie of Williamstown WV and Anna Jean Huck of Marietta; three sisters in law, Leona Kathleen Offenberger of Lowell , Faye Heiss of Waterford and 3 sisters-in-law and add Anna Offenburger of Frazeysburg, Ohio; a brother in law, Bernard “Bunt” Heiss of Waterford; She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Russell Joseph “Rusty” Heiss; two sisters, Mary Pitt and Marilyn Pawlaczyk; two brothers, Cecil Offenberger and Joe Offenberger; son in law, Dennis Hall and daughter in law, Liza Heiss.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Beverly with Father Tim Kozak officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Tuesday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly where a Rosary service will be held at 7:30 pm on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad or St. John’s School at Churchtown. The family would like to thank the girls at Appletree Assisted Living and Amedisys Hospice (Emily Kern and Danielle Stevens) for their wonderful care and daily visits.
