Charles J. Barlow

Charles J. Barlow, age 88, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. Born on July 5, 1937, in Lowell, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl and Ola (McFarland) Barlow.

Chuck retired from a long and dedicated career at the Hoover Company. He will be fondly remembered for the many friends who stopped by for countless conversations in his garage — a favorite gathering place for those who knew him best.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Charlene “Sue” (Davidson) Barlow; his brother, Ray Barlow; and his sisters, Elsie Batten, Mary McCarty, Edna Lawrence and Margaret “Peg” Hetrick.

He is survived by his children, Rodney Barlow and Rhonda (Gregg) VerPlanck; and his cherished grandchildren, Kathryn and Calvin VerPlanck.
