Linda L. (Linton) Brilliant, 77, of Salisbury, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on July 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on Christmas Day, 1947, in Lawrence, Kansas, Linda was the daughter of the late Lenard and Lucia Linton. As the daughter of a Navy serviceman, Linda experienced life in many parts of the country, including San Diego, Cincinnati, and southeastern Ohio. She graduated from Coolville High School in 1966 and spent much of her early life in the Coolville and Belpre area before eventually settling in North Carolina.

Linda retired from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, where she served faithfully as an executive assistant. She attended Grace Bible Church in Rockwell, NC, where she found encouragement and community. Her life reflected her Christian faith through quiet strength, kindness, and a deep love for her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Brilliant; her daughters, Regina (Anthony) Cochran and Jennifer Mollohan; and her cherished grandchildren: Lilly Cochran, Brant Richards, and Bryn Mefford. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Peggy Stanley.

Linda was a beloved stepmother to Jason (Michelle) Brilliant and Dustin Brilliant, and a proud step-grandmother to Lizzie and Riley Brilliant. She embraced her extended family wholeheartedly and loved her “steps” as her own.

She was preceded in death by her sister Patricia Linton and brother Lenny Linton.

Linda will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love for her children and grandchildren. She was a dear friend to many and touched countless lives through her kindness, humor, and quiet grace.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Grace Bible Church in Rockwell, North Carolina. Friends and loved ones are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering her life and legacy.
