Alfred Carl Wolfe, 87, of Beverly, Ohio, passed away in the morning hours of Thursday, October 9, at his home surrounded by his wife and family. He was born July 4, 1938, in Wheeling, West Virginia to Roy and Gertrude (Yocke) Wolfe, the youngest of their two sons.

Al and his family moved to Waterford from Wheeling in 1951, later graduating from Waterford High School in 1956. While in high school he met the love of his life, Margaret Ellen (Elliott) Wolfe and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage together. Al was first employed at Clevite Manufacturing in McConnelsville, and also worked for his father-in-law, George Elliott, in his fuel distribution business while later working for years at Interlake Steel and Globe Metallurgical. In his retirement, he worked part-time at Selby Hospital, maintenance at Ridgewood Court and owned his own mowing and landscaping business.

A Presbyterian by faith, he was a long-time member of the Beverly Presbyterian Church. Al was also a dedicated member of the Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge #37 F&AM in Beverly, the Marietta Shrine Club, Order of the Eastern Star and the Scottish Rite of Cambridge, Ohio.

Al is survived by his wife, Margaret; a nephew, Michael Elliott and his wife, Stacy of Marietta; his niece, Pamela Elliott (Tom Titus) of Columbiana, and two great nephews; Patrick Elliott of Marietta and Andrew Elliott (Ellery Hollister), of Lakewood. Al is additionally grateful for special friends Jim and Sandi Flowers, Crystal Walters and Billy and Marilyn Wells. Also mourning his loss is his beloved Boston Terrier #5, Charlie.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Jenny Wolfe and additional in-laws, Ron and Diane Elliott.

Friends and family would like to thank Marietta Hospice Care and Right at Home Nursing for their love and compassion in assisting Al during his illness.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 11:00 am at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly, with Pastor Beverly Pottmeyer presiding, with burial to follow in the Beverly Cemetery. Calling hours will be observed Sunday, October 12, from 5:00-8:00 pm, also at McCurdy Funeral Home, with a Masonic service at 7:30 pm.
