Herbert L. “Herb” Kasun

Herbert L. “Herb” Kasun, 83, of Beverly, Ohio, died on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his home. He was born on June 29, 1942, in Moundsville, WV, son of Herbert Emil Kasun and Dorothy Mae Bills Kasun. Herb graduated from Moundsville High School in 1960 and West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 1967 and later purchased Price’s Pharmacy in Beverly in 1972. In 1976 the Pharmacy became B and W Pharmacy and was moved to the Beverly Shopping Center area where it remains today. Herb was a great supporter of the area and was a proud supporter of all the community sporting events in the area for many years. He enjoyed all WVU sports and also loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. He served on the Beverly Village Council for 5 years and the Fort Frye School District School Board for 8 years and was a devout Christian and a proud family man who enjoyed his family and friends. He was married on June 11, 1967, to Sherry L. Wallace Kasun who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Jarrod Kasun and wife Amanda of Beverly Ohio and Joshua Kasun and wife Demetria of Malta, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kadin, Gianna, Liam and Bella; two brothers, David Kasun and wife Teresa of Keyser WV and Matthew Kasun of North Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Herb was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ronnie Kasun and a sister in-law, Linda Kasun.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating. Burial in the Beverly Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm on Thursday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beverly-Waterford Food Pantry or the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department. The Kasun family would like to thank Dr. Jeremy Waters and Staff, Shriver’s Hospice and all the caregivers for all their wonderful care and support they gave to Herb.
