Katherine I. Crock, 69, passed away peacefully on Feb. 21, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, 609 West St., Caldwell, with Brad Peoples officiating. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Norma J. Dudley, 90, of Cumberland, Ohio, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. Friends may call Monday from 11-1 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1 p.m. A private burial will take place at Hiramsburg Cemetery.

Howard David Handschumacher, 79, of Youngsville, N.C., formerly of Belpre, passed away Feb. 21, 2025, at the WakeMed North Hospital in Raleigh, N.C. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday with a Masonic service at 8 p.m. and from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday.

Rodney King Sr. passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. He was born in Washington County, Ohio, on November 18, 1944 to Floyd and Vergie Rutherford King. Rodney had been a Newport Township Trustee for 20 years and was a barber in Newport where he resided with his wife of 59 years, Julie (Swatman) King. Rodney is survived by his wife, Julie and children: April and Rocky of Newport and Darin (Lauren) King of Grandview Heights, Ohio; grandchildren: Brent (Kelstin), Brandon, True, Lil’ Rock, Kaylie, Harrison and Hannah and several great grandchildren. James Harley McIntire

James Harley McIntire, 96, of Baltimore, Ohio, died on Friday, February 21, 2025 at his home. He was born on February 3, 1929 in Parkersburg, WV, son of James Herbert McIntire and Rhoda Mae Lowe McIntire. He was retired from Pittsburgh Glass Company after 22 years of service and was a member of the Teamsters Union for 33 years. He enjoyed farming and cutting wood with his father at an early age and at 16 he worked at a factory painting shovels. He loved woodworking and at 87, he was making baskets.
