Lela Mae Davis, 90, of Caldwell, died Saturday, July 27, 2024, at her home near Ava. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Monday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ava United Methodist Church, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 11 on Tuesday. Gary L. Dennis, 85, of Marietta passed away at 6:16 am on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 12, 1938, in Newport Township, a son of the late S. Okey and M. Garnet Dennis. Gary attended Newport Schools for years and graduated from Marietta City Schools in 1956 and later attended Ohio University.
