Your cartoon in the Monday, July 11, about police officers about to make a traffic stop was in very poor taste. These situations are very serious and should not be made lite of. The officers involved in these shootings are hurting inside just as much as the family and friends of the people shot. The last thing an officer wants to do is take a life. Officers go to work with the goal of keeping each and every one of us safe, and are willing to do whatever it takes to do so. Unless you have looked down the barrel of a gun in a criminal’s hand or a knife in the hand of a person high on drugs. You cannot begin to understand the pressure the men and women of our law enforcement live with daily.
