Calling for new representation

At this critical time in American History, I write to advocate for new representation in the U.S. House of Representatives. Below are three of the many reasons why Bill Johnson must go:

1) Bill Johnson has voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act which would have adversely affected millions of Americans.

2) On 16 July 2018 in Helsinki, on an INTERNATIONAL stage and against the findings of at least 16 U.S. Intelligence agencies, Donald Trump accepted the word of Russian President Putin (against whom he’s never spoken an ill word) that Russia was not involved in attempts to influence the 2016 American election, saying, among other positive remarks about Putin: “Why would it be Russia?” Trump was castigated for these remarks by even members of his own party, so the next day he attempted to take back what he said in Helsinki by claiming that he meant to say: “Why wouldn’t it be Russia?” ANYONE who watches the clips of Trump’s remarks can see clearly that he was siding with Putin and his claims of non-interference, yet Bill Johnson totally accepted Trump’s explanation the day after. This lack of integrity and acceptance of an obvious lie is disgraceful, for Trump severely damaged American stature on the world-stage that day.

3) On 6 January 2021, the day that our Capitol was attacked by those who wanted to nullify by force a valid Constitutional election, and after all of the states’ Electoral Votes were certified by their state’s governors, and after more than 60 court challenges failed to show any fraud and thus with no real evidence. Johnson voted to object to the Electoral Votes of Arizona and Pennsylvania, thus hoping to disenfranchise the voters of those states. He no doubt would have voted to disenfranchise other states had the Senate done likewise. This blatant disregard for the Constitutional process of electing the President undermines our democratic process and the ideals of our Constitutional Republic, and all based on “the big lie” from the mouth of former President Trump. That Johnson cannot stand up to such irresponsibility, which continues to hurt our nation, shows his true character and puts party – or in this case a self-centered deluded man – above the country and Johnson’s Constitutional oath of office. This is evidence enough to disqualify him from continuing to serve in the House.

Therefore, for these reasons and many more, Bill Johnson must be voted OUT of office, so that we in Southeast Ohio can have someone of integrity representing us who is committed to the foundations of this great nation, established twelve score & six years ago!

Respectfully submitted,
