Expressing gratitude
I was driving from the Post Office on Market Street in Parkersburg to the Dollar Tree and there was a terrible noise on the left side of my Subaru Outback. Something was flipping and striking repeatedly on that side of the car. I was horrified, driving 20m/h. By the store I got out of the car and a man of middle age came up to me. He said: “Ma’am, the front tire on the left side of your car is completely flat. I can help you with that, I am a mechanic.” He was Jason Coldwell. It was 5:30 p.m., October 9, Wednesday. I looked at the front wheel on the driver’s side and I was shocked. He opened the trunk of the car and under its floor took out a spare wheel and a jack. Then he laid down by the flat tire wheel and started unscrewing the bolts out of that wheel. I was still frustrated about the situation I got into quite of a sudden. His wife came up and we talked a little. It was a problem to take the wheel off the car. Hard as he tried, the wheel didn’t get off. We kicked it in turn but it was glued to the car. We were desperate. And another luck happened: Jason’s buddy Matt Doyle came to the store at the time and noticed us struggling with the wheel. He and his wife came up to us, being a big man Matt managed to take the wheel off the car. After that Jason put the spare wheel where it belongs. I could hardly hold my tears with joy. We hugged and he refused to take money. He said: I like to do it. Life is unpredictable, it can happen to any of us.
I am expressing my gratitude to these wonderful men from the bottom of my heart.
