The Organization of Clean Energy and Climate is grateful for the positive and supportive comments made in editorial columns of The Marietta Times in their June 3 edition and in their June 22-23 edition. In those references to OCEC the Times indicated that OCEC and its sponsor company, SAI Tech, are a positive sign for the Mid-Ohio Valley and that organizations like the Columbus Cloud Region and Google data centers located in the Columbus area should look beyond central Ohio — including the Mid-Ohio Valley — for collaborators and stakeholders. Mr. Goldfield on his program the week of May 12 mentioned “The Planet of the Apes”. That reminded me of the day President Biden moved into the Whitehouse. That day the White house was being protected by the Military so that President Biden and his family could make an easy move. The City of Marietta wishes to make a statement regarding the previous employment of City Engineer Robert Heady with the city of Marietta. “The City’s former City Engineer, Bob Heady, has been working with the City to finalize his departure from employment. Through that process, the City has accepted Mr. Heady’s voluntary resignation. I had the pleasure of knowing Dora Jean for over 40 years. She was a grand lady who worked tirelessly to improve the education system and community of Marietta. I worked for five different school superintendents. In my view, she was the best. Dora Jean advocated for honor classes and academic excellence. She attended more extra curricular events than any other Superintendent I worked for. She had a work ethic that no one I know can top. In my opinion, we have lost a giant in servant leadership.
