Thank You from Lowell Easter Egg Committee

Lowell Masonic Lodge No. 436 held our 30th annual Easter Egg Hunt on Buell Island at the Lowell Village park. The weather cooperated and was perfect for the occasion. Although the lodge does sponsor the egg hunt, we could not have accomplished this without the assistance of our local business and community partners. Support the Start Westward Memorial Society’s efforts

As the granddaughter of Gutzon Borglum, the sculptor of the Start Westward Memorial statue in Muskingum Park, I am concerned about its future. The Start Westward Memorial Society is a very committed group of citizens who have been working for years to get the statue recognized on the National Register of Historical Places, as was originally intended in 1937. I have been an out-of-town member since 2022, attending meetings virtually. The Ohio Preservation Office, owner of the memorial, does not appear interested in fulfilling any duty to preserve the statue - or allow anyone else to do ...

In response to Matt Dole’s opinion piece dated March 10: First, it is the sworn duty of Marietta City Council President Susan Vessels to watch out for the well-being of the citizens of Marietta, a duty she takes very seriously. Marietta without injection wells response

Recently (March 10th), the Times printed a Viewpoint titled, “What does Marietta look like without injection wells?” I’d like to respond to Mr Dole of the Accountability Project. For starters, it would look like a town with less heavy traffic.
