Thanks to Reno voters for passing levy The Reno Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the Marietta Township residents for passing our Fire/EMS Renewal levy at the last election. The funds generated from this levy provide vital services to our residences in the time of need. The residents of this community continue to support our fire and squad services in which we are truly grateful. Thanks for support of Zonta Club event The Zonta Club of MOV would like to thank the community for their continued support of our bi-annual clothing sale the Unique Boutique. This is one of our biggest fundraisers and all the proceeds benefit our service projects, including scholarships to Washington State Community College. These scholarships benefit non-traditional female college students. Eve Says Thanks What a great community we live in. The 40th Annual Eve Benefit Auction on August 26th was a tremendous success — we grossed over $38,000 — all because of the wonderful support we received from the community, local businesses and the many individuals who attended, bid for items and had fun at the event. Local auctioneers, Charlie and Keelan McLeish, volunteered their time and once again had the crowd energized. Marietta Kiwanis Club celebrates successful year

Chartered in March of 1922, the Kiwanis Club of Marietta recently celebrated its 100th anniversary with a dinner cruise onboard the Valley Gem. Several representatives of Kiwanis Clubs around the State attended to congratulate the Marietta Club for its longevity and its extensive community involvement throughout the years. President– Elect John Halliday recognized Judy Peoples as “Kiwanian of the Year” for 2021-2022 noting her eagerness to participate in all club activities without hesitation. Overdose prevention more crucial than ever

We are truly at a crossroads. With over 100,000+ plus overdose and suicides in 2020 and growing, prevention has never been more important. The pandemic attributed to those already struggling, preventing many of them from attaining services. Recovery efforts continue today, both in mental health and addiction as well as programs to help homeless get back on their feet. What makes me an “expert” on this?
