Get the vaccine
Sometime before 1933, my mother developed a spot on her arm and had a fever. She got better and then her mother got very sick. Grandpa called the doctor. When the doctor arrived and examined her he determined that she had small pox and it was necessary to vaccinate the entire family for smallpox. He, also, told my Grandfather that he could not go to the barn and milk his cows. He had to call neighbors to come do the chores.
