Fall bazaar and lunch at Gilman UMC Sat.
The annual Fall Bazaar and Luncheon will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta. The bazaar includes crafts, bakery and attic treasures. The luncheon includes soup, sandwich and desserts. Everyone is welcome.

Steak fry at Beverly Eagles on Saturday
The Beverly Eagles will host a steak fry beginning at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $12 for grilled steak dinners or $10 for grilled chicken dinners. All dinners include a baked potato, salad bar and roll. For carry out call 740-984-4733. There will be music at the bar by Tyler Welch.
Antique appraisal to aid Tucker Museum
There will be an antique appraisal from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 27 at Waterford Elementary School. Appraisers will be Randy Clark of Auction House, Larry Hall of Baker & Baker and Barbara Dernberger. The cost is $5 for the first item and $3 for each additional item. Contributions from this event will go to Lower Muskingum Historical Society for improvements at the Oliver Tucker Museum in Beverly.

Mental health info session on Oct. 23
The Ohio chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Washington County Behavioral Health Board invites the public to attend an informational presentation about NAMI and how a local chapter can assist, support and advocate for individuals living with mental health disorders and their family and friends. The event will be in the Community Room at Washington State Community College from 4 to 5 p.m. Oct. 23. Refreshments will be served.

Gas line work will impact Putnam Street
Beginning today, Dominion East Ohio will begin replacing 1,307 feet of gas main on Putnam Street between Second and Third streets, weather permitting. The project is expected to last 30 days. Traffic will be maintained but there will be lane closures. Motorists are urged to use alternate routes.
