BEVERLY – Students from Fort Frye and Waterford high schools gathered Tuesday in the Fort Frye auditorium for a game show-themed program aimed at emphasizing driving safety.
The Washington County Health Department received grant funding to bring in ThinkFast Interactive, an experiential student safety program, to provide the interactive educational session for current and future drivers in Washington County. There was a strong focus on distracted driving, as well as the state’s highway laws, regulations and penalties, impaired driving and other topics.
Students were divided into teams of three to six to compete for prizes in a trivia contest, Fort Frye Principal Andy Schob said.
The event was organized in conjunction with 4-H Youth Development and the Carteens 4-H club.
