¯ A patrolman initiated a traffic stop on Oct. 13 on a vehicle for excessively loud exhaust. A passenger inside the vehicle, Tyler James Hafner, was found to have three active warrants for failure to appear. Hafner was arrested on the warrants and was transported to the Washington County Jail.

¯ An officer took a complaint on Friday from a man reporting he was the victim of a sex crime. The investigation is ongoing.

¯ A patrolman was dispatched Friday to the intersection of Pearl Street extension at Victory Place in reference to a two-car crash. Upon arrival and after the investigation, it was learned that Jessica Allen Riley had struck a vehicle driven by another female head-on and fled the scene with a child. She was located a short distance away and was found to be highly intoxicated. She was arrested and charged with OVI, hit skip, marked lanes, failure to wear a seat belt and child endangerment.

¯ Officers responded Friday to the Harmar Tavern in reference to a customer leaving without paying for his meal. The customer, later identified as Jason Homer Malone, was located in the 100 block of Gilman Avenue. He was found to have an active warrant for his arrest with a nationwide pick-up status. He was arrested on the warrant and was also charged with theft.

¯ A patrolman initiated a traffic stop on a silver minivan on Sunday. During the course of the traffic stop, the man operating the van was found to be in possession of approximately 1.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine. The vehicle was also bearing an Ohio expiration sticker that had belonged to a vehicle that was previously reported stolen, but had since been recovered. This case remains under investigation.

¯ An officer responded to Walmart, 804 Pike St., on Sunday in reference to two shoplifters. The officer prepared a probable cause summons for a man and woman for theft of more than $70 in merchandise.

¯ A patrolman responded to Walmart, 804 Pike St., on Sunday in reference to a theft complaint. Walmart advised a man attempted to steal merchandise and shoved an employee and another customer to exit the store. The area was patrolled and video from the Go Mart showed the suspect leave the area in a silver SUV. The patrolman initiated a robbery and assault investigation.

¯ An officer initiated a traffic stop Monday on a vehicle for fictitious registration. Contact was made with the two occupants of the vehicle. The driver, Jordyn Marie Menking, and the passenger, Kenton Ryan Barker, both had active warrants for their arrest. Both were taken into custody on their respective warrants.

¯ Miranda J. Duty reported Monday that her yellow and black 2002 Suzuki GSX R 750 with a TMJ Motorsports sticker on the rear fender was stolen from her garage at 110 Sharon St.

¯ Officers went to 110 Sharon St. on Monday to meet with Miranda J. Duty about damage to a residence done by a tenant whom she evicted.
