Wood Commission approves $15,000 to help with business trade visit to the area

PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Commission has approved to give $15,000 to the Polymer Alliance Zone to help with an upcoming visit from a number of Japanese business officials to the area who are looking at places within the United States to possibly build and locate businesses and development to. Spirit of Giving grant application window open for local nonprofits

PARKERSBURG – Area non-profits will be able to apply for the PM Company’s 2026 Spirit of Giving grants starting today. The application period will be open July 1 through Aug. 30 for organizations serving vulnerable and underserved populations in Wood County and Washington County, according to a press release from the PM Company. In 2025, Spirit of Giving awarded $81,000 to 13 local nonprofit organizations, helping advance missions that provide vital services, education, and outreach.
