Fort Frye FFA is proud to recognize several members for their accomplishments through the National FFA Organization. Four Fort Frye FFA members have earned their American FFA Degree, one of the highest degrees an FFA member can receive. The members receiving their American FFA Degrees are Julia Silvis, Marguerite Fulton, Clayton Miller, and Kyla Britton. Newport man among three killed in traffic accidents

Three people were killed in traffic accidents Saturday in the region, including a Newport man in Washington County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Tyler R. Auville, 34, Newport, was killed when the 1965 Ford Mustang he was driving went off State Route 7 in Ohio Township, struck an embankment and overturned, the Marietta Post said. Auville was extracted from the car and taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital Marietta Campus where he was later pronounced dead, the post said.
