Marjorie Marie Mary Tullius Gutberlet Duff, 94, of Marietta, passed away August 27, 2024, at Waterview Pointe. Marjorie was born May 11, 1930, in Lowell, Ohio, the youngest of nine to Andrew W. and Dora Mae Gates Tullius. She had many jobs and interests in her life, a beautician, cake decorator and tole painter for a few. She went to England to teach tole painting twice. Marjorie married True Gutberlet (deceased 1989) on January 1, 1947. Together they had one daughter, Barbara Jean (deceased 1962) and one son Keith (Winnie). Dr. Arthur James Acton passed away peacefully at his home in Zelienople, PA, on August 15, 2024. He was a graduate of the College of Wooster and the University of Michigan where he completed his doctoral studies. Art began his academic career in the history department at Marietta College and gradually transitioned from the faculty to the administration. Art left Marietta in 1986 for a position with Waynesburg University and later continued his career at Chatham, Ohio Northern and Clarion (now PennWest) Universities.
