WSCO students well-trained

Living in the Mid-Ohio Valley has many advantages including the public’s opportunity to experience student massages at the Washington State College of Ohio massage therapy program student therapist clinic. This allows the graduating students the hands-on experience needed to qualify for their state licensing exam. The students work under supervision. The public can volunteer for the 50 minute massage, which is essential to the students education. Support Belpre school levy

I am in favor of passing the Belpre School Levy to promote our school system and community as a whole. All should know that the future of the system depends on us. We as voting citizens can make passing the levy a reality. This levy will enable our school board to facilitate the present and future needs of our school system. Private and parochial schools meet and exceed state standards

There has been some public discussion recently suggesting that private and parochial schools in Washington County do not follow the same educational standards as our public schools. As a leader in Catholic education, I would like to clarify the facts for our community. All private and parochial schools in Washington County that offer Ed Choice Scholarships, operate as chartered nonpublic schools under the authority of the Ohio Department of Education. Zonta Club of MOV Spring Unique Boutique

The Zonta Club of the MOV would like to thank the community for their continued support of our gently used bi-annual clothing sale, the Unique Boutique. This is our largest fundraiser, and all proceeds benefit our service projects, including our scholarships to Washington State College of Ohio. These scholarships benefit non-traditional female college students. We also work to raise awareness for the need of feminine hygiene products, undies, bras and deodorant in the area with our Delicates for Dignity project.
