Dear Marietta College Alumni and Marietta Community, As you may know, small colleges across the U.S. are facing challenging times for various reasons. In public updates from the leadership, it is apparent Marietta College is also having to navigate some of these difficulties within the landscape of higher education. For many of us, Marietta College has been a significant part of our lives and a cornerstone of the Marietta community. It would be easy to just hope things were different, but we can do more. Marietta Area Recycling at a crossroads

MARC (Marietta Area Recycling Center) has served Marietta, Washington County and surrounding areas for nearly 50 years. A small, dedicated group of volunteers operate the center open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year through rain, snow, and sunshine processing 200+ tons of recyclablesannually. That is 400,000 pounds of waste diverted from landfills, streams, and our roadsides. Unfortunately, 50 years may mark the end for MARC.
