Dear Editor, It seems that someone has way too much money to be able to send flyers to the households of residents in West Virginia with absolute lies concerning Medicare. Imagine the cost of running all the TV ads! I am not sure who the brain child and supporters are but I do know that “60 Plus American Association of Senior Citizens” does not represent me, my husband and most of the people I know who are over 60. For the past several years I’ve tried to ignore all of the insane blather by left wing socialists but the letter in the Wednesday, June 8, Marietta Times can’t go unanswered. The writer tries to blame the lawlessness in our country on an inanimate object, guns, by saying “it’s the guns, stupid.” I’d like to just say “it’s not the guns, stupid!” It’s the socialists who hamstring law enforcement by advocating defunding the police. On June 2 the Board of Commissioners, other elected officials, and roughly 200 citizens, attended an Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) public meeting on an application to permit a new injection well in Washington County. The following week (June 9), the Commissioners issued a public statement naming DeepRock Disposal Solutions, LLC as the applicant for this permit.
