Eve, Inc. says thanks!

Another year, tremendous community support and a great evening. The 43rd Annual Eve Benefit Auction on August 22nd grossed over $32,000 all because of the wonderful support we received from the community, local businesses and the many individuals who attended, bid for items and had fun at the event. Local auctioneers, Charlie and Keelan McLeish, volunteered their time and once again had the crowd energized. Washington County Sheriff’s office provided a security presence, the Zonta Club of Marietta and the Environs helped to organize the Silent Auction items so that we were able to ...

Thanks for Support

I would like to thank the organizers and participants of the recent Chuck A Duck fundraiser that was held last week at MHS by the Marietta Volleyball team in my honor. My husband, Mark and I have photographed the sport teams in the community for over 40 years. We have met so many wonderful people. The coaches felt that many of these people would like to show their support and concern and “wow” were they right. The ...

Erin has worked to make sure our residents’ concerns are heard at every level, and she continues to fight for clean water and safe neighborhoods. She also brings the same determination to the city’s finances and development, helping to ensure Marietta’s future is strong. Erin O’Neill is the kind of ...

The Constitution, use it or lose it!

There is something a foot in the Mid-Ohio Valley. People in Washington and Wood County are turning out for Democracy. Four members of Living Democracy: Engaging Citizens, a local citizens group, just finished teaching a four-week ILR (Learning in Retirement) class with 55 community members involved in learning about how the Constitution was written, how it has evolved and grown and what is happening to our Constitution today. Our hope is that these 55 citizens will go out and talk to family, friends and neighbors about the important principles in our Constitution; popular sovereignty ...

Erin O’Neill for City Council

What stands out most about Erin O’Neill is her tireless effort. Whether it’s attending community meetings, exploring ways to expand opportunities for economic growth, or showing up to listen to residents, she never stops working. Erin makes herself accessible and treats every question and concern with respect. She has fought for solutions to homelessness, pushed back against injection wells, and still found time to support local arts and economic development through her leadership on the film commission. Erin is not afraid of hard work or tough issues, and that’s exactly the ...
