Dogs available at HSOV

This bonded pair of brothers (Buster and Bear) are 10-year old neutered male Shepherd mixes who are looking for their dream home (together, of course). These boys are nearly identical twins, and they are never far apart from each other. Buster, left, has a darker brown/tan coat than his brother, and he also has black shading on the top of his head (which also distinguishes him from his brother Bear). Bear, right, has a lighter brown/tan coat and he has a tiny black stripe on the top of his head (an easy way to tell the boys apart). Buster and Bear have friendly, easygoing personalities. We were told that they cannot be trusted around chickens, but we haven’t confirmed that report. This awesome pair of older guys hope that a compassionate family or individual will offer them a loving home where they can enjoy their golden years with plenty of attention, companionship, soft blankets, and plush beds. Buster and Bear weigh less than 40 lbs and wouldn’t take up much physical space in your home, but they will surely fill your heart with love.
Bonnie Marie is a cute 2-1/2 year old female Terrier mix who was surrendered to HSOV on March 21, 2023 along with her best friend Myla May because their family was no longer in a position to give them the care and love they deserved. Bonnie had a brindle/white coat and an adorable face with a ‘phantom-of-the-opera’ mask and a milk chocolate nose. This little lady is a social butterfly with a happy outgoing personality. She is good with children, has been kept indoors, and is housebroken. Bonnie weighs ~50 lbs. We’ve learned that Bonnie is an accomplished ball player when she and Myla are together in the HSOV play yards. These girls are very attached to each other, so we feel that it would be in their best interest to find a home together.
Myla May is a gorgeous 4-year old female Hound/Labrador Retriever mix who was surrendered to HSOV on March 21, 2023 along with her soul mate (Bonnie Marie) because their owner was no longer able to give them the care and love that they needed and deserved. Myla has a black-and-white coat with a wavy texture, black ticking/freckles on her chest/legs, and a beautiful face with copper-colored eyes and large floppy ears which frame her face. Myla May has a happy, easygoing personality and is good with children as well as other animals. She has been kept indoors and is housebroken. Myla May weighs 55 lbs. Myla and Bonnie love to spent time in our play yards together. Bonnie is the athletic friend who loves to play ball. Myla is the self-appointed cheerleader since she is content to relax in the shade and watch Bonnie play ball. These girls complement each other and are inseparable, so we feel that it is in their best interest to be adopted as a pair.
Hank is an awesome 4-1/2 year old male Coonhound/Shepherd mix who came to HSOV on April 29, 2023 because his family was moving and couldn’t take him to the new residence because of his size. This good-looking boy has a tricolor coat, a short half tail, and an adorable tan/white face with expressive brown eyes and an award-winning smile. Hank was very sad after his owner left him with us (and who could blame him?) But when he posed for his photo session the next day, Hank put on his ‘happy face’ and decided that he would make the best of an unfortunate situation. Hank has a super friendly personality and is a pushover for attention. He weighs 51.4 lbs and is fairly energetic on a leash. Hank will be neutered before going home with his new family.
Jessie is a lovely 1-1/2 year old female German Shepherd mix who came to the HSOV on June 2, 2023 after she was found in the Dalzell area of Washington County Ohio, and surprisingly nobody called or came looking for her. Jessie has a jet black coat, rather long legs, and a beautiful Shepherd face with brown ‘teddy bear’ eyes, a slender muzzle, and extra-large ‘horizontal’ ears. She has the sweetest disposition and a happy, fun-loving personality. Jessie weighs 51.2 lbs and could easily gain a few pounds to fill out her slim, trim figure. She is full of energy and playful puppy-like behavior and is actually strong on a leash. Jessie will be spayed before being adopted by her new family.

Starting at $2.99/week.
