MARIETTA — Downtown Marietta will mark the Fourth of July weekend with art, music, shopping and live demonstrations during July First Friday. The event, hosted by Marietta Main Street, will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday downtown. According to a release from Marietta Main Street, businesses will pay homage to America’s 250th birthday with red, white and blue decorations, while the Armory will serve as the center of activities for the Marietta Main Street Public Art Committee’s annual fundraiser. MARIETTA — A campaign to combat hunger among children announced three local entities received funding to help provide summer meals in rural communities. No Kid Hungry Ohio awarded a combined $137,780 in summer meal grants to 10 organizations around the state. Locally, recipients included Washington-Morgan Community Action, Caldwell Exempted Village Schools and Noble Local Schools.
