George W. Zimmerman, 84, of Marietta, passed away at 8:35 pm, May 4, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 19, 1942, in Marietta, a son of Howard Zimmerman and Elsie Baker Zimmerman. George had been employed in the oilfield. He married Judith D. Lauer who preceded him in death. He was born August 8, 1940, in Bellaire, OH, to the late Richard and Mildred Munjas Corbett. Jim graduated from Powhatan Point High School in 1958 and served in the Army National Guard.
