John Thomas "Tom" Carey passed away with his wife by his side on October 5, 2026, from complications of cancer. Tom was born April 17, 1947, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Anne and John Carey. He grew up in McKeesport, PA, and graduated from McKeesport High School. He was an Eagle Boy Scout, altar boy and loved tennis. He and a friend were the Northern Virginia doubles champions. Tom went to Ohio University on a tennis scholarship and graduated in 1969. Francis E. Miller, 83, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at his home. He was born on July 28, 1943, in Waterford, Ohio, son of Wilfred H. and Mary Ida Belle Province Miller. Francis had worked at Globe Metallurgical for many years and had also helped on the family farm and feed mill for a long time.
