Examples we set in our public schools

As a landowner, taxpayer, and parent of school aged children, I am part of the ongoing debate among others like me about how our schools have changed for both the better and more times than not the worst. The complaints often range around behavior that is now tolerated on school campuses that would have never been allowed in years past. Most of the time these concerns are voiced about students behavior and the tolerance exhibited by school leaders, or policy that is changed without much if any public discussion. The Dec. 9 edition of The Marietta Times saw yet another opinion piece in a letter to the editor. In this piece, the writer compared former president Trump to Adolf Hitler. Every day Donald Trump mimics actions Adolf Hitler took nearly 100 years ago as he pushed the world toward 30 million deaths and murders. How are so many in this country failing to understand what a hateful megalomaniac The Donald is? Trump is laying it out there for everyone to see.
