Ohio legislature needs to make the right call regarding trans kids

Earlier this month, transgender youth and their families got to let out a sigh of relief as it was announced that the Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act would not advance through the House of Representatives. Aiming to ban gender affirming care for trans youth, this bill did the one thing I hoped the Ohio Legislature knew better than to do; Make trans youth the focal point of an identity-based policy war. October 29, the Marietta Police Department and The Right Path for Washington County held Medication Take Back Day in the Walmart parking lot, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is held twice a year; April and October, and is an excellent opportunity to clean out your medicine cabinet, disposing of unused, unwanted or expired medications. By disposing of these medicines you help reduce the risk of medications being stolen, sold illegally. Thanks for support of Zonta Club event The Zonta Club of MOV would like to thank the community for their continued support of our bi-annual clothing sale the Unique Boutique. This is one of our biggest fundraisers and all the proceeds benefit our service projects, including scholarships to Washington State Community College. These scholarships benefit non-traditional female college students.
