Two Marietta men were indicted in the death of 24-year-old Sarah Warrener in January. Michael William Martin, 27, of 707 Sixth St., Marietta, was indicted on five charges, including one count of reckless homicide, a third-degree felony; one count of involuntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony; one count of corrupting another with drugs, a second-degree felony; and two counts of possessing drug abuse instruments, both second-degree misdemeanors. Becker found guilty on federal charges

CHARLESTON — A Marietta man was convicted Tuesday after a two-day trial by a federal jury in West Virginia of all four counts charging him in connection with pipe bombs found on tugboats on the Ohio River, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia. Law enforcement officers recovered the devices from two tugboats moving barges on the Ohio River on Oct. 21 and Oct. 25. Motions filed to dismiss 1995 murder case

Motions to dismiss charges and reduce bond for the man arrested in connection with the death of a 26-year-old woman and her 17-month-old son in 1995 were filed earlier this month by the defense counsel. One dead, one injured in Monroe County crash

CLARINGTON – One 16-year-old girl died in an auto accident that also injured a second teen on Tuesday evening. The St. Clairsville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed late Tuesday that it was investigating the deadly crash. The single-vehicle accident occurred on Ohio 556 in Salem Township.
