Reports/Marietta ¯ A patrolman stopped a vehicle April 19 for having no illuminated headlights. During the stop, criminal indicators were observed and a K-9 was requested. A sniff of the vehicle yielded a positive indication and during a search of the vehicle, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine was located. Reports/Washington County ¯ A deputy began an investigation April 20 in Muskingum Township where a report was made in reference to damage to Putnam School. ¯ A sergeant responded April 20 to a residence on Wynncrest Drive, Warren Township, in regards to a reported domestic violence incident. Rhonda Clark had taken a vehicle without permission and earlier had shoved the victim to the ground. Clark stated that nothing happened and that law enforcement had no reason to be there. OSHP investigating fatal crash

From staff reports The Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on Ohio 60 near milepost four, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at approximately 5:15 a.m. Friday. Preliminary findings revealed that a 2002 Acura MDX driven by Sean R. Wise, 36, of McConnelsville, was southbound on Ohio 60 when it struck Emilee Kincaid, 31, of McConnelsville. The driver left the scene. Kincaid was later found deceased along the side of the roadway by a passerby. Wise's vehicle was found approximately one mile from the crash scene.
