Beth Ann Kitts (née Poole)

Kitts

Beth Ann Kitts, 69, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 27, 2026, at The Gables in Marysville, Ohio. She was born on September 13, 1956, in Marietta, Ohio, to Richard and Bessie Poole.

Beth grew up in Reno, Ohio, graduated from Marietta High School, and spent much of her career serving her community at the Washington County Public Library. Through perseverance, sacrificial love, and unwavering faith, she built a home where her daughters always knew they were deeply loved.

She is survived by her daughters, Abbey Kromhout (John) and Jenny Reiser (Andy); her beloved grandchildren, Michael, Gabriella, Ali, Teddy, Olive, and Timmy; her siblings, Carmen Vanscoy (Danny), Donald Poole, and Richard Poole; and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Bessie Poole.

Beth loved reading, walking, playing games, watching The Andy Griffith Show, reminiscing about old times, and talking with friends and family. She adored her sweet dog, Buddy, whose companionship brought her years of happiness. She had an extraordinary gift for making people laugh and bringing light into difficult moments. She knew exactly when someone needed laughter and when they simply needed someone to sit beside them in their pain.

Above all else, Beth loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She depended on the Holy Spirit for strength, entrusted every burden to the Lord, and gave Him the glory for every blessing. She will be remembered for her kindness, her forgiving spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.

One of the quotes she kept displayed in her home beautifully reflected the faith by which she lived:

“I believe in the sun even when it is not shining, love even when I am alone, and in God even when He is silent.”

A memorial service celebrating Beth’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Hilliard Church of Christ, 4300 Avery Road, Hilliard, Ohio 43026. She was cremated, and a reception will follow the service.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Revelation 21:4
