In response to violence at Capitol

Mid-Ohio Valley Interfaith is an organization committed to civil discourse and collaboration for the common good. As such, we wish to share publicly our reaction to the violence at the United States Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. First, we extend our sympathy to the families who lost loved ones and to those who were injured during this violent event. Devola sewer would be progress

I have listened for several years as the city and county squabble about the sewer project in Devola. Now some citizens themselves have entered the fray and created an organization to fight to keep the antiquated individual septic system that replaced the old-fashioned “outhouse” of yester-year. There are so many people we would like to thank for the 3900 lbs of food and necessities that were collected from the Williamstown Christmas Parade. Open letter to City of Marietta

I would like to bring attention to and congratulate our Marietta City Council on the passing of Ordinance 165, which increases the marketing capacity of the Convention and Visitor Bureau (CVB) and allows support for Marietta Main Street and the Southeastern Ohio Port Authority. We are humbled and fortunate to be a part of such an amazing community of neighbors and dedicated elected officials. Shoutout to MHS for vaccine drive-thru

My wife and I got our first doses of the Moderna vaccine at the Memorial Health System drive thru clinic on the Wayne Street campus. Our appointments were scheduled online, and the procedure worked perfectly. On separate Saturdays (Jan. 23 and 30), we were greeted by helpful staff members bundled up for the chilly weather. We couldn’t see all the warm smiles behind the masks, but it was easy to sense their friendliness and eagerness to help.
