Marietta College hosts 2026 Nonprofits LEAD capacity building conference today

Marietta College will host the 2026 Nonprofits LEAD Annual Capacity Building Conference from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center.

According to information from the college, the conference is in its 17th year and is open to nonprofit leaders, board members, staff, volunteers and supporters from across the Mid-Ohio Valley.

The event will include a full day of workshops, networking opportunities and other scheduled activities for those involved with nonprofit organizations. Workshop sessions will be organized across six tracks: finance and fundraising, human resources, marketing and networking, governance and advocacy, operations and programming, and information technology.

The conference will include three workshop sessions led by regional subject-matter experts. Topics are intended to provide information and resources for organizations working in different areas of nonprofit operations, according to the college.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Michelle Foster, president and CEO of The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation. The event also will include the second annual Vendor Fair, with 37 nonprofit and for-profit organizations expected to participate. Scheduled activities also include live music and an ice cream social.

The conference is part of Marietta College’s Nonprofits LEAD program, which works with nonprofit organizations in the region. According to the college, the annual conference is designed to provide professional development, practical resources and opportunities for collaboration among nonprofit staff members, board members, volunteers and supporters.

The event will be held at the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center on the Marietta College campus, 215 Fifth St. in Marietta.

The conference is expected to draw participants from across the Mid-Ohio Valley, including representatives from nonprofit and business organizations. Information provided by the college says the event is focused on capacity building for nonprofit organizations through workshops, networking and community engagement.
