Reports/Marietta ¯ An officer investigated a theft by deception complaint May 24. The victim was contacted and scammed out of $3,000 over the phone by an unknown individual claiming to be a member of law enforcement. ¯ An officer recovered a fake $100 May 24 which had been recovered at the Beer Barn, 130 N. Third St. The bill had been given to them as an attempted form of payment. Update on human trafficking investigation
